About Me
My name is Adam Stewart. I graduated from Oregon State University (OSU) with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an applied focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). I’ve spent over 12 years in software development so far. A few years ago, I moved to California to work on-site at the Googleplex, and I’ve been loving the Bay Area ever since!
Today, I’m a Senior Applications Analyst/Project Manager in the City of Sunnyvale’s Information Technology Department. Shortly after joining, I learned C#/.NET from scratch and delivered a web application for plans and permits to production in under two months, ahead of its six-month timeline. Since then, I’ve built automations for nightly data pipelines, created an API integration that has archived 452 GB of records and counting, supported mission-critical public safety systems, and served as the technical lead on many different projects including a cloud migration. I’ve also remediated critical security vulnerabilities I discovered through penetration testing to help keep the City secure.
Before that, I spent over two and a half years contracted to Google as a Senior Data Analyst, where I co-founded a two-person team to create AI tools for Android Partner Engineering. Together, we built an AI pipeline that increased the speed of Android validation from weeks to minutes with an average of 98% accuracy.
Through my education at OSU and professional work experience, I have become very comfortable with programming languages (Python, Java, C#, C/C++), scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell), web development (JavaScript, React, Node, Express, Angular, TypeScript), and databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Outside of work, I co-authored a research paper titled “The Emotional Landscape of Aviation Pilots: Analysis of Online Professional Forums Using Natural Language Processing,” which was published in the Journal of Aviation/Aerospace Education & Research in 2025. I also recently published EZ Search (Bookmark Manager and Navigator), a Chrome extension for keyboard-first bookmark management.
In my free time, I like to do a variety of things. If the day calls for something indoors, you’ll probably find me playing some sort of game on my computer with my friends. Weather permitting, I enjoy camping, snowboarding, longboarding, and listening to live music. Overall, I’m a proud computer nerd who always wants to learn more.
